The JRNY towards Easter

No matter where you’ve been or where you’re starting, it’s never too late to start a JRNY with the Bible.

We are taking a JRNY as a community through the whole of scripture
looking at the story of Christ as we approach Easter.

Tips for reading the Bible

Read for a relationship
not application

We recommend looking at reading the Bible like going on a date. In a healthy relationship you aren’t looking to get something out of the date but just to get to know the other person and over time build a relationship. We have found approaching your Bible like this will change everything.

Be intentional with
the time and space

It so easy in this culture to constantly be hurrying and constantly balancing a million different things. We recommend setting a side a specific time and space to be intentional with the way you interact with the Bible. We also recommend even removing any thing that could distract you, yes we even mean your phone ;) .

Interact with
a paper Bible

We highly recommend interacting with a paper Bible. Our phones are constantly hitting us with notification after notification and consistently stealing our focus. We believe that the Bible is the Living Word of God and through it He speaks to us. We want to try our best to remove any noise to help us hear Him speak more clearly.

There are no
stupid questions

We believe that God is not afraid of your questions or doubts. We recommend reading with a pen and notebook and that way you can write down any questions, observations, or even what you think God is speaking. Also, don’t be afraid to highlight, underline, or even write in your Bible.
